Getting Started

The Klu iPad POS is the cashier-facing app that runs on an iPad, landscape-locked and paired to a single branch. You'll use it to ring up sales, manage the cash drawer, and track shifts. Admin tasks like products, customers, and promotions live in the Dashboard.

The fastest route from an unpaired iPad to ringing up the first sale and closing the shift.

Pair the iPad — in the Dashboard, open Cash Drawers → Devices and generate a QR. On the iPad, tap Scan QR.
Set up hardware — pair a Star printer and (if selling by weight) a BLE scale from the login screen Settings.
Sign in with PIN — every cashier has their own PIN; tap digits on the keypad.
Open a shift — from Cash Drawer, enter the opening cash balance.
Create a tab — name it (customer name or table number) from the Home screen.
Add products — search, scan, or tap a category to add products to the cart.
Take payment — pick a method (cash, card, PromptPay QR), confirm, and the receipt prints automatically.
Close the shift — at end of day, count the drawer and close.

Tips

The app auto-logs-out when backgrounded — sign back in with your PIN.
Prescription products require a customer with a valid prescription attached before checkout.
The app is iPad-only and locked to landscape — rotate to landscape if you see a rotation warning.
