Print product labels
Select a product and print shelf or price labels with a QR barcode.
Overview
The Labels screen picks a product and prints a batch of labels — each label contains the SKU, a scannable QR code (SKU plus optional weight), and the product's unit. Labels are used for shelf pricing and for QR-scan reconciliation flows.
When to use it
- Labeling new stock arriving from a restock
- Refreshing shelf labels after a price or SKU change
- Reprinting damaged or missing labels
- Pre-printing weight-specific labels for a reconciliation count
How to use it
Video tutorial coming soon
- Open Labels from the drawer menu.
- Search by product name or SKU, or filter by category.
- Tap a product — the print dialog opens with a live QR preview.
- On the keypad, enter the label quantity (weight amount for weighted products, count for units).
- Tap Print — the label is sent to the system print sheet, then to the active printer.
Tips & gotchas
- Label layout is printer-specific — a standard thermal receipt printer can print, but the format won't match a dedicated label printer's template.
- The QR code encodes the product SKU and the entered quantity — the reconciliation scanner reads both.
- A product must have a SKU configured in the Dashboard for its labels to print a useful barcode.
- For unit-based products, the default label quantity is 1; for weighted products it's 0 until you enter a weight.
- The "no printers" warning means you need to pair one in Printer setup.
