Add products to the cart
Search, scan, or tap a category to find a product and add it
Overview
There are three ways to get a product into the cart: tap a tile in the product grid, type in the search bar, or scan a barcode with the camera. Each one opens the product detail sheet where the cashier sets the quantity and confirms. Items always add to the currently active tab.

- Fast ring-up with barcoded packaged goods
How to use it

- Find the product:
- Tap a category chip above the grid to filter โ or pick a category group first if the branch uses groups.
- Type in Search by Name or SKU โ the grid narrows as you type.
- Tap the scan icon in the search bar to open the camera scanner.
- Tap the product tile โ the product detail sheet slides up with the price, stock, and quantity tier chips.
- Enter a quantity using the keypad โ or, for weighed items with a connected scale, the live scale reading is filled in automatically.
- If any price tiers apply at the entered quantity, the tier chip highlights and the price updates.
- Tap Add โ the sheet closes and the line appears in the cart.
Tips & gotchas
- The scan icon is inside the search bar, not on a separate button โ tap the small camera glyph to enable scanning.
- Scanned barcodes accept either a bare SKU or
sku;quantityformat โ with quantity, the app adds the line directly without opening the product sheet. - Products with price-tier discounts show each tier chip (for example 5g+ or 10g+ โข 10% off) โ tap through quantities to see the tier activate.
- Out of Stock tiles are disabled and cannot be tapped; Low Stock tiles still add.
- Weighed products pull the quantity from the BLE scale when one is paired โ the keypad value updates live.
- Cannabis / prescription products can be added freely, but checkout will block until a customer with a valid prescription is selected.
