Edit patient details
Update name, phone, ID, or any profile field from the patient panel.
Overview
Once a patient is attached, tap the name chip in the header to open the profile modal. The small pencil icon next to the patient name opens the Update Patient form where every field in the record can be edited. Prescription changes are handled separately from the Prescription tab โ this page is about the profile itself.
When to use it
- Correcting a typo in a patient's name or ID
- Updating a phone number, email, or Line ID
- Assigning a new member number to an existing patient
- Switching a patient from Tourist to Resident (or vice versa)
- Adding a birthday that was skipped at creation
How to use it
Video tutorial coming soon
- On the active tab, tap the patient's name in the header to open the profile modal.
- Make sure you're on the Details tab (default).
- Tap the pencil icon next to the patient name in the profile header โ the Update Patient form opens.
- Edit the fields: name, ID/Passport, nationality, gender, type (Tourist/Resident), phone, email, Line ID, birthday, referral source, member number, member since.
- Tap Confirm โ the record saves and the profile refreshes.
Tips & gotchas
- Changes sync to the Dashboard instantly โ if the patient has activity in other sales being written simultaneously, the update still applies field-by-field without overwriting unrelated data.
- The Member Since field is locked until a Member No. is entered โ members can't exist without a number.
- Birthday uses the iPad's native date picker with max date set to today.
- Email is validated on save โ an invalid format blocks the submit with an alert.
- On the Update Patient screen, the prescription upload section is hidden โ to replace or edit a prescription, use the Prescription tab in the profile instead.
