Open a shift
Start the day with a counted opening cash balance on this register.
Overview
Opening a shift tells Klu what cash was in the drawer at the start. Every transaction from that point forward runs against this shift, and no sales can be rung up until a shift is open.
When to use it
- First thing on arrival, before taking the first sale
- After someone closed the previous shift
- After a device reset or re-pairing
