Discounts and service charges
Apply an order-level discount, add a service fee, or redeem loyalty points
Overview
Order-level modifications live on the order review screen that opens after tapping the cart total. From there you can apply an overall Discount, add an Additional Service fee, redeem Loyalty Points, add a Delivery Cost for online orders, toggle category Service Charges, and attach a Note. All of these roll into the final total shown at the bottom.
When to use it
- VIP or loyalty discount on the whole order
- Delivery or packaging fee
- Customer redeeming loyalty points to offset the total
- Disabling an auto-applied category service charge for this one sale
How to use it

- Tap the big green total button on the cart to open the order review screen.
- Apply an order-level discount:
- In the Discount panel, tap % or เธฟ to pick percentage or fixed amount.
- Enter the value on the keypad (capped at 100% or the subtotal).
- Type a Discount Reason in the text field below if required by policy.
- Add an ad-hoc fee:
- In the Additional Service panel, type a Service Name (e.g., "Packaging").
- Enter the Additional Service Cost on the keypad โ the fee adds to the summary.
- Redeem loyalty points (customer must be assigned):
- In the Loyalty Points panel, enter the number of points to apply.
- The panel shows how many points the customer has and the max they can spend on this cart.
- Toggle category service charges:
- In the summary, tap the Service Charges row to open the toggle modal.
- Tick or untick each category; use Enable All Charges or Disable All Charges to bulk-toggle.
- Add an order note:
- In the Note panel, type free-text instructions for the receipt or kitchen print.
- Confirm the order with Confirm Order when all adjustments are set.
Tips & gotchas
- Additional Service is the cashier-defined fee (name + amount). Service Charges are the category-auto fees configured in the Dashboard โ toggle them on or off but don't change the amount on the iPad.
- Loyalty Points is only visible when a customer is assigned to the tab.
- The max discount is capped at 100% or the cart subtotal, whichever is smaller โ the keypad won't let you exceed it.
- If you mark an order Online Order, a Delivery Cost keypad appears โ it becomes its own line on the summary.
- The Discount Reason is optional on the iPad but shows up in the Dashboard sales report for audit.
