Change the app and receipt language between English and Thai
Overview
The iPad POS supports English and Thai. The Klu app follows the iPad's system language โ there is no in-app language toggle. Changing the iPad's system language flips both the app UI and the printed receipt language.
When to use it
- First-time setup on a brand-new iPad with the wrong default language
- Staff changeover where the new team prefers a different language
- Printing receipts in the customer's preferred language at a specific branch
How to use it
Video tutorial coming soon
- Close the Klu app (swipe up and away in the app switcher).
- Open the iPad's Settings app.
- Go to General โ Language & Region.
- Under Preferred Languages, move English or เนเธเธข to the top.
- Confirm the prompt to change language โ iPad relaunches apps in the selected language.
- Reopen Klu โ the login screen, menus, and receipts now use the new language.
Tips & gotchas
- Receipt templates use the same language setting โ print a test receipt from Settings โ Printer โ Receipt after switching to confirm.
- If Thai is not yet in the Preferred Languages list, tap Add Language, pick เนเธเธข, then drag it to the top.
- The language affects currency and date formatting on receipts โ Thai locale uses Thai-specific formats, English uses Western defaults.
