Klu Docs

Export to Excel

Copy any sales view as TSV and paste straight into Excel or Google Sheets.

Open in dashboardSales โ†’ Bills

Overview

Every sales view has a Copy button that puts the current table on your clipboard as tab-separated values. Paste into Excel or Google Sheets and the rows and columns land in the right place โ€” no CSV download, no format conversion.

When to use it

  • Sending a spreadsheet of sales to your accountant
  • Building a custom pivot or chart in Excel / Sheets
  • Quick exports for ad-hoc analysis or month-end review

How to use it

Video tutorial coming soon
  1. Open Sales and pick a view โ€” Bills, Products, or Categories.
  2. Set your branches, date range, and any filters or sorts. The export follows what you see.
  3. If the list has a Load more button, click it until everything is loaded โ€” otherwise only the visible rows get copied and Klu warns you there's more data.
  4. Click Copy. A toast confirms the copy.
  5. Switch to Excel or Google Sheets and paste (Cmd+V / Ctrl+V). Columns split into cells automatically.

Tips & gotchas

  • Klu copies TSV (tab-separated), not CSV. Excel and Google Sheets handle it natively; if you paste into a plain text file you'll see tabs between columns.
  • The "Data copied, but more to load" warning means you didn't scroll to the bottom โ€” the TSV only contains the rows already loaded in the table.
  • Filters, search, and sort all apply to the export. Get the view exactly right before clicking Copy.
