Overview

Editing a product updates it everywhere it's sold. The fields are identical to the create form โ€” name, description, category, price, image, SKU, low-stock threshold, strain profile, and store visibility.

When to use it

  • Correcting a typo, wrong price, or wrong category
  • Replacing the product image with a better photo
  • Changing the low-stock threshold after seasonality shifts
  • Updating SKU or store visibility

How to use it

Video tutorial coming soon
  1. Open Products.
  2. Open the row action menu on the product you want to change and click Edit (or click the pencil icon).
  3. Update any fields. Same validation rules apply as on create โ€” name and category required, SKU unique, price โ‰ฅ 0.
  4. Click Save. The list and any running iPad session pick up the new values.

Tips & gotchas

  • If a specific branch is selected in the header, editing opens the branch-specific form โ€” changes only apply to that branch. To edit the global product, switch back to All Branches first.
  • Changing the category may reclassify the product in reports and analytics going forward.
  • Editing the SKU does not rewrite past sales โ€” historical records keep the old SKU.
  • Lowering the low-stock threshold silences previous alerts but doesn't resend new ones until stock dips again.
