- Planning which categories to run promotions on
How to use it
Video tutorial coming soon
- Open Analytics and click the Inventory tab.
- Review the top-level total cost vs total value summary โ gap equals gross margin locked up in stock.
- Scan the categories table โ cost, value, quantity, and product count per category.
- Compare categories side by side to find overstocked or understocked groups.
Tips & gotchas
- Inventory snapshot is taken at query time โ numbers reflect current stock, not historical.
- Cost is sourced from the most recent restock cost per unit โ make sure staff enter accurate costs when restocking.
- Branch filter narrows the valuation to selected branches only.
