Inventory analytics

Cost, value, quantity, and product count broken down by category.

Open in dashboardAnalytics โ†’ Inventory

Overview

The Inventory tab summarizes what your stock is worth today: inventory cost (what you paid for it), inventory value (what you'll sell it for), quantity on hand, and product count โ€” each broken out by category.

When to use it

  • End-of-month valuation for accounting
  • Spotting overstocked categories
  • Understanding the capital tied up in each product group
  • Planning which categories to run promotions on

How to use it

Video tutorial coming soon
  1. Open Analytics and click the Inventory tab.
  2. Review the top-level total cost vs total value summary โ€” gap equals gross margin locked up in stock.
  3. Scan the categories table โ€” cost, value, quantity, and product count per category.
  4. Compare categories side by side to find overstocked or understocked groups.

Tips & gotchas

  • Inventory snapshot is taken at query time โ€” numbers reflect current stock, not historical.
  • Cost is sourced from the most recent restock cost per unit โ€” make sure staff enter accurate costs when restocking.
  • Branch filter narrows the valuation to selected branches only.
