Add a staff record at this branch — name, email, role, PIN.

Overview

Adding staff creates a branch-scoped record that can log into the iPad POS with a PIN. Owner only. The same person working across multiple branches needs a staff record at each branch.

When to use it

  • Onboarding a new cashier, budtender, or manager to this branch
  • Adding an existing team member to a branch they didn't previously cover
  • Replacing someone who left with a new hire

How to use it

  1. Open Staff.
  2. Confirm the branch in the selector.
  3. Click Add Staff in the header.
  4. Fill the form:
    • Name (required).
    • Email (optional).
    • Role — Staff, Cashier, Manager, etc.
    • PIN — numeric, 4-6 digits, unique per branch.
  5. Click Save — the modal closes and the staff row appears in the list.

Tips & gotchas

  • Role gate: OWNER only.
  • PIN must be unique per branch — the form validates this.
  • For organization-level roles and seat management, go to Settings -> Team.
  • Higher roles (like HEAD_MANAGER) may only be assignable to users already in the org team.
