Overview
Adding staff creates a branch-scoped record that can log into the iPad POS with a PIN. Owner only. The same person working across multiple branches needs a staff record at each branch.
When to use it
- Onboarding a new cashier, budtender, or manager to this branch
- Adding an existing team member to a branch they didn't previously cover
- Replacing someone who left with a new hire
How to use it

- Open Staff.
- Confirm the branch in the selector.
- Click Add Staff in the header.
- Fill the form:
- Name (required).
- Email (optional).
- Role — Staff, Cashier, Manager, etc.
- PIN — numeric, 4-6 digits, unique per branch.
- Click Save — the modal closes and the staff row appears in the list.
Tips & gotchas
- Role gate: OWNER only.
- PIN must be unique per branch — the form validates this.
- For organization-level roles and seat management, go to Settings -> Team.
- Higher roles (like HEAD_MANAGER) may only be assignable to users already in the org team.
