Open in dashboardInventory

Overview

Restocking records new stock landing in a specific room — from a supplier delivery, a manual correction, or any other source where the goods are physically now in your branch.

When to use it

  • Supplier delivery that was not booked through a purchase request
  • Recording initial stock for a newly-added product
  • Manual correction after a stock discrepancy has been investigated

How to use it

  1. Open Inventory -> Stock.
  2. Click Restock Product in the header.
  3. Fill the form:
    • Product — search and pick from the branch's catalog.
    • Room — which room the goods are going into.
    • Quantity — how many units/grams.
    • Cost — per-unit cost for this batch.
    • Supplier (optional) — link the restock to a supplier record.
    • Invoice ref (optional) — free-text reference for the supplier invoice.
  4. Click Save — the quantity lands in the chosen room and a log entry is created.

Tips & gotchas

  • Restocking through a Purchase Request (Organization -> Suppliers) is the recommended flow when a supplier is involved — it keeps the cost history tidy and ties the PR to the inventory movement.
  • The restock shows up in the Restocks tab and in the Logs tab with type RESTOCK / RECEIVED.
  • If you enter the wrong cost, open the restock entry on the Restocks tab and edit it.
