Restrict a promotion to specific branches, customers, categories, or products.

Overview

Every promotion can be scoped so it only applies in certain branches or to certain customers โ€” useful for regional campaigns or VIP-only pricing.

When to use it

  • Running a flagship-store-only offer
  • Giving VIP customers private pricing
  • Piloting a promo in one branch before rolling out
  • Excluding certain categories from a site-wide sale

How to use it

Video tutorial coming soon
  1. Create or edit a promotion.
  2. In the Branch scope section:
    • Pick Global for all branches, or
    • Pick Specific branches and multi-select from the dropdown.
  3. In the Customer scope section:
    • Leave empty for all customers, or
    • Select specific customers (VIP-style targeting).
  4. Optionally narrow by category or product in the apply-to field.
  5. Save โ€” the promo now only fires when all scope conditions match.

Tips & gotchas

  • Scopes are additive โ€” if you pick both branch and customer, BOTH must match.
  • Leaving a scope empty means "no restriction" โ€” it applies everywhere.
  • Customer targeting is only useful if customers log in at checkout.
  • Branch scope respects the branch selector โ€” it won't run in non-selected branches.
