Reference for every promotion type โ€” triggers, rewards, and examples.

Overview

Each promotion has a type that defines how it triggers and what it rewards. Pick the type that matches your campaign goal.

When to use it

  • Choosing the right type for a new campaign
  • Understanding the difference between BOGO and FREE_PRODUCT
  • Planning tiered or unlock-price offers

Types

PURCHASED_QUANTITY

  • Trigger: customer buys N units of a target product/category
  • Reward: discount (%) on those units
  • Example: Buy 3 pre-rolls, get 10% off

PURCHASED_VALUE

  • Trigger: basket total in the target category hits a threshold
  • Reward: discount (%) on matching items
  • Example: Spend 1000 THB on flower, get 15% off

DISCOUNT

  • Trigger: always on for the target
  • Reward: flat discount (%)
  • Example: 20% off all edibles

BOGO

  • Trigger: customer buys one target unit
  • Reward: second unit free (or discounted)
  • Example: Buy one drink, get one free

CROSS_BOGO

  • Trigger: customer buys a unit of product A
  • Reward: unit of product B free (or discounted)
  • Example: Buy a hoodie, get a lighter free

FREE_PRODUCT

  • Trigger: spend N in the target category
  • Reward: a free product (gift) automatically added to the bill
  • Example: Spend 500 THB on flower, get a free rolling paper

MIX_AND_MATCH

  • Trigger: customer buys N units across a set of target products
  • Reward: bundle discount
  • Example: Any 3 strains from this shelf, 1200 THB total

UNLOCK_PRICE

  • Trigger: spend N or buy N
  • Reward: unlocks a special tier price on matching items
  • Example: Buy 3.5g to unlock the 1g-price-per-gram rate

Tips & gotchas

  • Fields on the form change based on the type you pick.
  • You can have multiple promotions active at once โ€” check overlap before launch.
  • Type-specific badge colours help identify promos in the list.
