Overview
The Customers tab profiles who is buying: new vs returning counts, retention rate, average spend per customer, plus gender, age, and region breakdowns. Useful for marketing decisions and loyalty strategy.
When to use it
- Measuring how well your loyalty program is keeping customers coming back
- Understanding the demographic mix of your customers
- Identifying which region/age/gender segments spend the most
- Building a marketing campaign targeted at a specific segment
How to use it

- Open Analytics and click the Customers tab.
- Review the new vs returning card to see how many customers came through for the first time vs repeat visits.
- Check retention rate โ what percentage of last period's customers came back this period.
- Scan average spend to see typical basket size.
- Drill into gender, age, and region pie/bar charts for demographic mix.
- Cross-reference strain-type-by-region/age tables (if Cannabis Flowers category exists) for a richer segmentation story.
Tips & gotchas
- Demographic data is only available for customers whose profile has gender/age/region filled in. Encourage staff to capture it at POS.
- Retention rate depends on date range โ comparing a 7-day range to another 7-day range is the cleanest comparison.
- Numbers respect the branch + date range filters at the top of the page.
