Overview

Stock Flow is a summary dashboard of stock movement across a date range โ€” total in, total out, net movement, and a breakdown by operation type (received, sold, waste, converted, moved). Useful for quickly spotting unusual weeks or operation mixes.

When to use it

  • Spotting weeks with unusually high waste or low sales
  • Comparing inflows vs. outflows for a specific category or room
  • Reviewing movement patterns before a reconciliation

How to use it

Video tutorial coming soon
  1. Open Inventory -> Stock Flow.
  2. Set the date range at the top.
  3. Filter by room, category, or operation type (received, sold, waste, converted, moved).
  4. Review the summary cards: Total in (value + qty), Total out (value + qty), Net movement (value + qty), # operations.
  5. Read the timeline chart for day-by-day flow, and the category breakdown for the operation type mix.

Tips & gotchas

  • Operation types: RECEIVED, SOLD, WASTE, CONVERTED, MOVED.
  • The timeline chart uses inflows / outflows / net lines โ€” toggling the operation type filter redraws it.
  • Date range persists via the inventory-dates storage key โ€” same key as the Logs tab.
