Move stock between rooms
Shift stock from one room to another within the same branch.

Overview
Moving stock between rooms is the simplest adjustment — same branch, same product, same cost, just a different physical location. The move is logged but does not affect total on-hand for the branch.
When to use it
- Shifting stock from back-of-house to the front of the store
- Reorganizing rooms (e.g., splitting one room into two)
- Quarantining stock before waste or reconciliation
How to use it
Video tutorial coming soon
- Open Inventory -> Stock.
- Find the product row and open the row action menu.
- Choose Move to Room.
- Fill the form:
- Destination room — the room receiving the stock.
- Quantity — how much to move.
- Reason (optional) — free-text note.
- Click Confirm — the source room decrements, the destination increments, and a log entry is created.
Tips & gotchas
- Quantity must be ≤ current quantity in the source room.
- Both rooms must exist in the current branch — for cross-branch moves, use Move stock between branches.
- The log entry shows from room and to room on the Logs tab.
