Rename a device
Change the display name of a paired iPad.

Overview
Renaming a device updates only the label shown in the Dashboard and on shift / log rows. It does not disconnect the device or affect any active shift.
When to use it
- Giving devices clearer names like "Counter 1" / "Counter 2" / "Back register"
- Renaming after a physical move to a different counter
- Correcting a typo after first pairing
How to use it

- Open Cash Drawers -> Devices.
- On the device card, open the menu and choose Rename.
- Enter the new device name.
- Click Save — the card refreshes with the new name.
Tips & gotchas
- Device name must be unique per branch.
- MANAGER+ role is required.
- No disconnect — the device keeps running.
