Disconnect a device
Unlink an iPad from the branch — clears cash-in-drawer.

Overview
Disconnecting unlinks a paired iPad from this branch. The device stops receiving shifts and its card disappears from the Devices tab. Remaining cash-in-drawer is cleared as part of the disconnect — make sure to close any open shift first.
When to use it
- Retiring an old iPad
- Moving a device permanently to a different branch (re-pair after disconnecting)
- Resetting a device after a sale or reassignment
How to use it

- Open Cash Drawers -> Devices.
- Close any open shift on the device first — the disconnect will clear remaining cash.
- On the device card, open the menu and choose Disconnect.
- Review the confirmation — it shows the remaining cash warning.
- Click Confirm — the device is unlinked and the card disappears.
Tips & gotchas
- OWNER is required.
- The device must have no open shift — close it first.
- Remaining cash-in-drawer is cleared — reconcile via the shift closing flow before disconnecting to keep the books straight.
- The iPad will prompt to re-pair next time it's opened.
