Overview
The Logs tab is the raw event stream for cash drawer activity across every device and shift. It is read-only and useful for checking Cash In, Cash Out, Reset Cash, Open Shift, Close Shift, and Open Drawer events.
When to use it
- Investigating a specific discrepancy from the Shifts tab
- Auditing staff cash activity across a date range
- Reviewing manual cash in/out and reset events on the register
How to use it

- Open Cash Drawers -> Logs.
- Set the date range at the top.
- Filter by event type (CASH_IN, CASH_OUT, RESET_CASH, OPEN_SHIFT, CLOSE_SHIFT, OPEN_DRAWER) or device.
- Search by device name, staff name, or notes โ 500ms debounce.
- Sort by date (default most recent first), amount, or type.
Tips & gotchas
- No edit, no delete โ the log is immutable.
- Event types: CASH_IN, CASH_OUT, RESET_CASH, OPEN_SHIFT, CLOSE_SHIFT, and OPEN_DRAWER.
- Every row shows the shift ID and staff name for attribution.
