📜Price Profile

Purpose The "Price Profile" feature allows users to set up tiered pricing models for their products or categories. This means that based on the quantity of items a customer chooses to purchase, they can be eligible for different levels of discounts. It's a tool designed to incentivize bulk purchases and offer flexibility in pricing strategies.

How it Works

Click the Add button to create a new Price Profile
  1. Naming the Profile: At the top, there's a field labeled "Name" where you can specify the name of the price profile for easy identification. In the example provided, it's named "Flowers Pricing".

  2. Application: Users have the choice to apply the pricing profile to individual products or entire categories. This is done by selecting either the "Apply to Products" or "Apply to Categories" button.

  3. Testing Price Strategy: The "Product price for 1 unit (For testing purposes only)" field is a tool that allows users to quickly see how different pricing strategies might affect the cost of a single unit of a product.

  4. Setting Quantity Tiers and Discounts: Below this, you can set up various quantity tiers and their corresponding discounts.

    • For instance, if a customer buys just 1 unit, there's no discount, which is indicated by "1" under "Quantity" and "0%" under "Tier Discount".

    • If they buy 3 units, they get a 10% discount.

    • Buying 5 units earns a 15% discount.

    • And, purchasing 8 units will net them a 20% discount.

The "Add tier" button allows you to introduce more tiers as needed.

  5. Categories: If the price profile is applied to a category, you can select which category or categories the pricing model applies to. In the example, "1 Selected" indicates that the profile is for a specific category.

  6. Sum Products Quantity (Only for Categories): This is a unique feature for category price profiles. When this checkbox is selected, it means that if a customer purchases various products within the same category, those quantities will be combined, allowing the customer to use the discounts.
