Overview
Each product's detail page has an Inventory Logs tab and a Sales tab that together show its complete history โ every restock, transfer, waste event, conversion, and sale. Useful when you're investigating a specific SKU or verifying a discrepancy.
When to use it
- Investigating why a product's stock doesn't match expectations
- Tracing when a specific unit was received, moved, or sold
- Reviewing the full sales history of a single product
- Auditing conversions between parent and derivative
How to use it
Video tutorial coming soon
- Open Products and click a product to go to its detail page.
- Switch to the Inventory Logs tab. Each row shows:
- Date and time
- Movement type (RESTOCK, SALE, WASTE, TRANSFER, CONVERT, ADJUST, etc.)
- Quantity change (positive for in, negative for out)
- Room (or branches, for transfers)
- Staff member who performed the action
- Notes / reason
- Switch to the Sales tab for every sale that included this product, with quantity, price, date, and link to the invoice.
Tips & gotchas
- Logs are immutable โ you can't edit or delete entries. Corrections are always a new entry.
- A reverted sale generates a reversal log entry โ the original sale row stays visible for the audit trail.
- For the branch-wide log across all products, go to Inventory -> Logs.
- Infinite scroll on both tabs โ use Load more to reach older history.
